Robin Hulbert blog - 25/2/11
THE words sick as a parrot are definitely circling in my head. I am gutted the way things have gone.
On a personal note it hasn’t been great. I, for one, am disappointed and can only imagine how everyone else feels.
I was so desperate to play against Tamworth to get us out of trouble and it has backfired massively.
It is my fault. I tried playing when perhaps it was not right. I will take the criticism, that’s part and parcel of the game.
I have not helped the team, and believe a fit/not suspended Robin Hulbert would have helped us. So part of the blame is with me and I hold my hand up.
We must be strong Bluebirds. Now is not the time to go to war with a patched-up army.
We must all be united, despite what everyone’s views are.
Everyone is entitled to their view but we must look at the bigger picture. That is to ensure Blue Square Bet Premier survival. So let’s turn a disappointing season into a not so bad one. We need you all, every inch of the way. Believe me, it is easy to think no-one cares, but we are human beings and have feelings. Believe me, we are hurting. Can we turn it around? Yes.
Wayne Curtis is back which is a big lift and I am sure he will drive us on. We have enough, but let’s prove it.
Barrow, we need you and need the boys to play with heart, passion and cool heads.
Let’s have a right fight.
You live once and play like it’s your last.
