Barrow police chase off would-be burglar

BARROW police chased a would-be thief down a street after finding him in the front room of a house.

A man, described as around 5ft 7in of slim build, was discovered in the living room of a house in St Vincent Street, Barrow, at around 7pm on Thursday.
The man is believed to have been attempting to steal a mountain bike.
The man was wearing dark clothing and a hooded top and ran down St Vincent St.
Anyone with information is asked to contact DS Andrew Lamb on 101.
