BARROW and Furness MP John Woodcock spent last night in the accident and emergency unit at Furness General Hospital after falling off a ladder.
Mr Woodcock used Twitter this morning to break news of his fall.
In his tweet he said: "Ug, spent night in A&E after falling off ladder: what an eejit. Lucky escape after neck brace, CT scans & palaver. Staff superb. Me bashful."
He added in a later Tweet: "Also big thx to paramedics who stretchered me from scene of eejitry. One said next time I want fact finder on ambulance service pls just ask."
Mr Woodcock is having treatment for a leg injury and is hoping to be allowed home later today (Tuesday).

What a disgraceful comment from poacherq. The vast majority of staff at FGH, especially in A&E work damn hard and look after 100s of admissions a day and are tax payers themselves. Several of whom have saved the life of both my brother and one point and a friend's young baby... but noone is interested in the good they do are they? People who complain like you make me sick! Get a job, I bet you just like majority of complainers and sit on your backside all day putting other people down to make yourself feel better.
