Barrow man taken to hospital after A595 crash

A DRIVER from Barrow was taken to hospital following a crash on the A595 this morning.

Emergency vehicles at scene of A595 incident between Askam and Kirkby at 7.40am today. Traffic was tailed back in both directions.

 

The collision, between a Volkswagen Golf, driven by a man from Barrow, and a Peugeot 307, driven by a 27-year-old Millom man, happened on Tippin’s Lane, between Ireleth Brow and Soutergate.
The driver of the Golf was taken to hospital with ‘minor injuries’.The A595 was closed for around an hour, following the accident at 7.15am. The two vehicles were recovered at about 8.30am and the road was reopened shortly after.
