Barrow man airlifted to hospital

A BARROW man was airlifted to hospital following a mountain biking accident at Grizedale Forest.
The 30-year-old suffered head injuries after he fell off his bike near Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre.
He was treated at the scene before he was flown to the Royal Preston Hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance's Pride of Cumbria helicopter.
The air ambulance was alerted at 12.20pm on Sunday.

Thanks for update paul. after evening mail saying it was a 'serious' head.injury, i was a bit weary about goin back up to grizedale. gud to hear it was only a cut. I was up there day before and some.numpties were riding the new black run without ANY safety gear. them peeps will spoil it for the rest. wish him luck and speedy recovery.
