Barrow Christmas Market generator stolen by thieves

POLICE are investigating the theft of a generator at the Barrow Christmas Markets in the town centre valued at £1,000 on Sunday morning.

does not surprise me. typical of this town. thieving scum. we have had property stolen or damaged, we were born here but this town has gone right down.

it'l no doubt of been taken by a local heroin addict since they over run our town, stealing our property for a bag of smack!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@robby. How do you know the cameras weren't working? In fact if they happen to be pointing the right way and the incident occurred in an area covered by them then I would suggest it may well be captured on camera. However, no one is actually employed 24/7 to sit and monitor them.
I would further suggest that the owner of the generator could have helped by not leaving it there in the first place.

tnh if it was late in the morning then it would of been very busy , and most of these things are hidden so anyone could of got away with it very quickly and easy

It was probably stolen by one of the other visting stall holders...... All i can say is bigger fool them, for leaving an expensive bit of kit out overnight.....
