BAE Systems submarine to move in Barrow

BAE Systems in Barrow will move a section of submarine again tomorrow.

BAE Systems is due to transport a section of submarine along Bridge Road in Barrow tomorrow which may cause minor disruption for motorists.

A rear section of the fifth Astute class submarine, Anson, which was moved to the Devonshire Dock Hall today (Wednesday), will be moved to the New Assembly Shop on Bridge Road at around 09.15 on Thursday. Later in the day, at approximately 14.15, the same section is scheduled to return to the Devonshire Dock Hall. Both movements are due to last around 15 minutes.

There will be no disruption to parking in the area however there may be minor disruption to traffic travelling along Bridge Road for a short time.
