Accident cleared on A590 at Greenodd junction

A traffic collision on the A590 that caused long queues has been cleared

Tailbacks as far as Tebay Lane in Ulverston were caused by an accident at Greenodd, near the A5092.

Police reported the incident at 10.21am and announced they had cleared it at 11.15am. Traffic is said to be easing.

This follows an earlier two-vehicle collision on the A590, at Newland Garage, which caused queues in both directions but has since been cleared.
