AN internationally-renowned barber and a Windermere barbershop have teamed up to create a luxury experience in men’s grooming.

The Original Barber shop in Windermere and Joseph Lanzante are coming together to provide the experience.

Based in Crescent Road, The Original Barber has undergone a refurbishment and been renamed as Joseph Lanzante at The Original Barbershop.

The new shop will offer a classic cut throat shave, which Mr Lanzante believes is an important aspect of the industry that isn’t used widely enough.

Mr Lanzante said: “I love Windermere, it is beautiful and when the chance came along I jumped at it. The people of this town have been incredibly supportive and there is a huge buzz about reopening Joseph Lanzante at The Original Barbershop.

“It is exciting for me to put my brand next to a well-established barbershop and to work as a team to bring it to the next level.”

The revamped shop has three chairs and the business is recruiting two new barbers or hairdressers to undergo training to meet Mr Lanzante’s high standards.

The barber already made a name for himself as one of the top trainers in the UK with his training academy, the Joseph Lanzante Training Academy in Clayton-le-Moors in Lancashire.

He also successfully runs Joseph Lanzante at The Men's Room in nearby Clitheroe.

The enterprising barber refuses to stay still, expanding his brand across the North West.

Once the Windermere shop is ready he also plans to add to the Windermere and Clitheroe shops by opening a new barbershop in Manchester, called Joseph Lanzante at the Men’s Room, Manchester.

The new face on the Windermere scene initially trained at the prestigious Alan International Hair Salon in London’s Knightsbridge, and became the international trainer for an American salon franchise, one of the largest in the world, boasting 2,800 establishments.

He subsequently developed his own chain of 12 highly successful hair salons in London and during that time Mr Lanzante was a Southern British Hairdresser of the Year finalist for two years running.

After two years in the States running his own barbershop in Dallas he returned to the UK and has run his shop in Lancashire for more than 10 years.
