Cumbrian expert helps clinch multi-million pound deal
Last updated at 13:10, Wednesday, 16 May 2012
A Cumbrian corporate law specialist has helped clinch a multi-million investment for a county sportswear firm.
Michael Walby, of international law firm Pinsent Masons, was part of the team that brokered a deal for inov-8, of Staveley, to receive a cash injection from ISIS Equity Partners.
The money will be used to help expand the global reach of inov-8, which already supplies road running products to 58 countries worldwide.
Mr Walby said: “We are delighted to have worked with the impressive and committed inov-8 team.
“We are also very proud to have played a part in this important transaction, which will provide a strong platform for the continued global expansion of the inov-8 brand.”
inov-8 founder Wayne Edy said: “Finding an investment partner that understands the opportunities and potential created by new technology and innovative thinking in all areas of the business was crucial to accelerating our growth plans.”
