Owners Lee Wilson and Debbie Deakins are asking for around £465,000 for Cockermouth’s Junipers Restaurant and Cafe Bar.

Lee and Debbie bought the building, which dates back to 1870, nearly 10 years ago. At the time it had fallen into a poor state, originally being a warehouse before turning into a farriers and agricultural ironmongers.

Lee and Debbie, who previously ran the town’s Riverside Restaurant, turned the business into a success with a wine and tapas bar and cafe on the ground-floor and restaurant on the first floor.

When the couple, who originate from the Manchester area, first bought the South Street premises it was practically derelict, needing a total refit before any business could move in.

Colliers International is selling the business

It states that the business, which also has a four-bedroomed apartment, enjoys a turnover of around £245,050. Junipers is currently closed for its annual break.
