BARROW AFC have been placed under a transfer embargo because of an outstanding tax bill.

Have your say

Thats the point dannybafc, People have been getting behind the Club,& as for the board putting Thousands of there own money in the Club, What do you think the Fans & the Town have been doing for so many years? do you think the board have been doing it out of the goodness of there own hearts? Jog on!!

Barrow afc keep asking thr Town to "get brhind "them.Unfortunately this costs.Barrow AFC when spending money expect to receive a return on their investmant otherwise they make changes. This understandable business accumen extends to the people of Barrow and each time they go through the turn stile they expect a return on their investment. Perhaps Barrow could entice people back by charging £5 ticket They would more than double gate receipts plus extra bar revenue etc. Then its down to the players. After recent shows the fans deserve some pay back

Mark - The point about the reception was about the fact that since we had the cup runs, that has been the only really visible improvement made to the ground, and even though it is important to show a good side to visitors and hopefully impress potential investors, it would also have been nice to give the fans something, A toilet with a roof on in the corner near where I stand, come to think of it actual toilets would be nice on the popular side instead of a wall and drain.

I understand that business don't give out that type of information, but keeping us in the dark makes can turn a crowd against them. At first they said they didn't know it had been missed and would sort it out Monday Morning, then on Monday afternoon they were sorting it early this week, today they are on with it. Just let us know what's going on and where they stand with everything. I have backed the board and manager when others have doubted them, but this makes it look as though they don't know what they are doing.

Rigobert,do yourself a favour and stop listening to all the old pony that Goodwin and one or two others spout about local talent being good enough-it ain't,simple as that, got it!.

yeah the board really want us to be moneyless and relegated even though they have put thousands of their own money into the club! Get behind the club istead of constantly slagging everyone off! KTF!

Can I just say, one of the best players Barrow has had in recent times was Wayne Curtis and he had to go to morecambe to ply his trade. I played with both and i tell you now scott ellis is the best player never to grace a barrow shirt. Look local the standard is better than you think.

For all those people who say we haven't got local talent. I say to you, how do you know? do you watch local, west lancs & above football? because i wager you don't. I used to play myself and I played with local lads who i know for a fact could have played for barrow and were never given an opportunity. I'm not going to reel off a list of names but 2 i I will and they are Scott Ellis and Craig Salton, I played with both and Scott especially should of had a chance to play for barrow but never got a look in.

Allb - Barrow were a league club? up until the 70s. Plus they probably got 3-6k there week in week out, now they struggle for 1200.
thats the difference.
