BARROW AFC have moved back tomorrow’s Conference Premier home clash with Macclesfield Town by 24 hours.
The game was due to take place at Holker Street tomorrow night, but will now be played this coming Wednesday evening (7.45pm).
With Barrow’s home game with Ebbsfleet being postponed due to snow on Saturday, the club made the request to switch the game to Wednesday over the weekend, and Macc duly agreed to it.
The club took the decision to ‘increase the prospects of the game going ahead’ by giving the Holker Street pitch more time to recover from the effects of the recent heavy snow showers.
A statement on Barrow’s official website, said: “The chances of it going ahead tomorrow are slim, given the amount of water that the melting snow is yielding which is forecast to freeze tonight.
"It is hoped an extra 24 hours will allow better drainage and hence forecast overnight frost on Tuesday will not be a disruptive.
"It is likely a lunchtime pitch inspection will be required on Wednesday."

If the cap fits sonny, wear it. yes AFC are proud of anyone who supports and encourages them. But we're talking about abusers of the team,DB,AND his children and family, that it seems,is ok by you.
Birdseye, do you really have to go around calling people morons every time you disagree with there comments, Is there something wrong with you that you have to speak so disrespectfully, I hope AFC are proud of your support?
