Barrow AFC suffer more humiliation at Mansfield

BARROW AFC plunged further into the relegation mire by capitulating to an 8-1 defeat at promotion contenders Mansfield Town.

Have your say

Ram and Cuffy I enjoy your little fallouts, I bet you'd grow to like each other if you actually met in person, why don't you arrange a blind date? x

That's where you 'Cuffy',yes you with the silly made up name are completely wrong again as per usual.Yes this is a site for airing opinions that also grants you anonymity(which you and many others)crave so as to air your odious opinions. That's,why I say if you and the other keyboard cowards really feel that strongly about your convictions then use the vehicle of which the masses gain most of their information on our football and rugby clubs, the Evening Mail.Haven't got the bottle, have you,eh!.

Woah birdbrain, what decent players at afc?
And what players been injured all season?
Also, you previously said you were a deaf mute on another topic, then you have just said to Ramondo that he should have been in your regiment, now, don't get me wrong but if you are as disabled as you previously claimed, then you would have been unable to join the army. This is unless you made it up that you were disabled, now that is really sick and you should be ashamed.
Bayliss out out out!!!!

I don't see is as DB fault he can only get what the club can afford as we simply do not have the finance as other clubs.I would rather put the blame on those so called supporters who only come to holker st when we are on a good cup run on not when the club needs them if we had regular support the money would be there at we would be able to progress much further it all comes down to what the general public want, seems to me that its not a great football team that they want but a mediocer team well if we carry on like this we won,t even have that which really saddens me. any way see how we get on tonight now we do have a new signing.

A comment from DB, if our players were better than what they are the would not be playing for us, well that is it in a nutshell then, no onwards and upwards for BAFC? I think he could have chosen his words better, that does not inspire confidence amongst players and supporters alike!
I was one of the few that did not blame him for the position we are in now,.lack of funds etc but I think that he should try and inspire SOME enthusiasm...but not on his own, why do we hear zilch from the people who are running the club? DB does seem to get all the backlash, get out of your board room and mingle with the supporters, ask for their views on why things are in the doldrums!
RE a comment from Ramon, THIS is the site for airing your views about this subject whether an alias is used or not and not for petty squabbles, not enough people to fall out with as it is!
Time is running out faster than you think Barrow, I still think you can make it, but you may think listening to DB.......is it it worth the effort??

Lee Richards you could not be more wrong, the club is not an embarrassment to the town, it is the other way round. Approximately seven thousand band wagon jumpers from this apathetic backwater went to Wembley to watch AFC in 2010, singing their praises and toasting their success. If half of those unabashed free loaders went every week Barrow would be doing well in League two now. Have they no shame?

when and not IF Barrow are relegated this season I fear it may be the last time we see the club at this level for a very very long time. Barrow as a club has been punching above it's weight for a number of years now and had it not been for the cup run money then the mess would be a whole lot bigger than it looks now... My rationel for saying that the club will sink like a stone is a culmination of a few things poor facilities, lack of tranfer funds, lack of wage funds, geographical location, poor management from the top down and the most criminal of all for a club with Conference level and higher aspirations is a total lack of reserve team and youth level football. The club should look at Morcambe and use them as a blue print of how to opperate as a club not just as a team. Morcambe have had a youth structure in place for years and were acting like a football league club years before they were football league. People will state that the Doc is putting wheels in motion with the kids at the very bottom now and say 3 of them are good enough to progress further where will they go at 16? no U18's and no Reserve football will result in the few Barrow could produce looking elsewhere. I fear the dark clouds will only get darker falling numbers through the gates and increasing running costs will result in poorer players possible further relegation...peaople may get their wish faster than they think of local players performing on Holker st when Barrow are in the same league as Holker Old Boys
