Big games abound

IT was a big game last week against Harrogate at home. Financially, we need these cup runs to help us through seasons. Okay, we don’t budget for them, but as you go through a season and injuries occur and new players need to be brought in, costs change.

Get in the spirit

A DRAW against Ebbsfleet last week wasn’t the result we wanted, but it kept the points ticking over.

Too big an ask

THE only real disappointment from last week’s defeat was the 5-1 scoreline.

WE wanted a good start to the season and that’s what we’ve had.

Barrow’s biggest season for years

IT’S here. The start of the season has arrived and hopefully Holker Street will be buzzing tomorrow when the players step out at Holker Street to face Tamworth.

Now the hard work begins!

FOOTBALL is back. The dreaded pre-season training started today. For anyone who plays or has played the game previously at any level, the thought of that first session will send shivers down the spine.

Ferrell’s a very Andy signing

FIRSTLY, thanks to everyone who attended the gala day at Holker Street last weekend. It was, again, a massive success for the club.

No choice but to raise gate prices

TODAY (Saturday) we were set to stage our annual gala – a guaranteed great day out.

THE news that Paul Edwards has this week signed for Fleetwood underlines the problems we have at the club.

Tony will be missed by everyone at club

ALL our thoughts go to the family of Tony Jackman, who sadly passed away last week.

Staying up was a great achievement

JOB done. Last Saturday saw us retain our Blue Square Bet Premier status with a 2-0 win over Hayes and Yeading at Holker Street.

WELL, we didn’t want to be where we are, however, it could be worse.

Floating fans ... we need you now

THAT’S two bad away results to two strong sides in the league. A 5-0 defeat at Newport is not good, but like against Wimbledon a couple of weeks ago, sometimes the strength of these teams really does show.

A need to remain balanced on AFC

I DIDN’T make the trip to AFC Wimbledon, but the feedback was that sometimes you have to put your hands up and say you were beaten by the better side.
