Barrow striker goes out on loan

BARROW AFC striker Obi Anoruo has joined Hinckley United on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old will stay with the Blue Square Bet North side until October 6 to gain match fitness.

Anoruo, who was signed in the summer following his release by Wrexham, has yet to start a Blue Square Bet Premier game for Barrow and has made just two substitute appearances.

It is understood the Bluebirds are seeking to bring in a new striker, but any deal is likely to happen next week now.

That means Barrow are set to go into tomorrow's game at Tamworth with just two strikers in the shape of Adam Boyes and Joe Jackson.

See Saturday's Evening Mail for more on this story.

See tonight's (Friday's) Evening Mail for all the build up to Saturday's game between Tamowrth and Barrow AFC, including interviews with Bluebuirds defenders Tom Aldred and Tom Anderson.
