The former Barrow Raider utility man heads off to the United States to be reunited with his family.
But before departing he teamed up with brothers Paul and Graham for the first time in a select side against Millom for the friendly– his final game on English soil.
Lots of money was raised for Lupton’s charity – Air Ambulance – and Keiron and Steph Clark’s Lifesaver charity.
It is understood that the generosity shown will have seen more than £1,000 raised for the charities.
Many of Lupton’s friends travelled for the match, some up to six hours, to help give him a brilliant send off.
Lupton, a genuine all rounder, has come full circle after a career which started in the Woollybacks’ junior ranks.
The talented player plied his trade at Super League level with several clubs before returning to Cumbria to join Workington Town before heading to Barrow.
He played his last game for the Raiders at Oldham two weeks ago.
Lupton, who skippered his adopted country Wales in last season’s European Cup, was presented with his Welsh International cap after the game.
After the game he said he would like to thank everyone that turned up on the day and those also gave him support throughout his playing career.
