HINDPOOL v WIGAN ST PAT’S A

(Brisbane Park, 1pm)

HINDPOOL take on fellow North West Men’s League Division One play-off hopefuls St Pat’s in an early kick-off due to the Rugby League Challenge Cup final.

They are boosted by the return of Paul Rickelton, who has been missing for several weeks through injury.

He is joined in the squad by Callum Dale, Jamie Lynn, Jordan Mason and Dale Sneesby.

However, joining the long-term injured are Lee Boyd, Jamie McIlroy, Adam Martin and Callum Lamont. Work could rule out Connor McDermott.

Tigers coach Phil Cubiss is targeting this and a further three consecutive home games to push for a play-off place.

He said: “We have four homes games on the trot and this is the sort of game the lads like to be involved in.

“It will be a good test for us as we enter the business end of the season. Both teams need to be up for it if they want any reward come the end of the season.

“We have been playing good rugby of late and we need to keep our composure and be more clinical in the right areas if we are to win this one.”
