TWO new clubs hope to join the Furness Premier League at a special general meeting tomorrow night.

Barrow Island and Coniston reserves have submitted late applications for membership of the competition.

A decision on their bids will be made at the meeting, to be held at Dalton United's Railway Meadow home, starting at 7pm.

The league have also confirmed that Barrow Celtic have been officially crowned at 2014/15 Riflemans Garage Premier Division champions.

The destination of the title was finally decided after the Lancashire Football Association dismissed Britannia’s appeal against a six-point deduction for fielding a player who should have been suspended.

The deduction meant Barrow Celtic finished as champions, three points ahead of Britannia, who were runners-up.
