BIG-HITTING batsman Liam Livingstone has signed a new deal with Lancashire.
The Barrow CC product, 22, has extended his stay at Old Trafford after a breakout season.
Livingstone hit a match-winning 91 on his Royal London One-Day Cup debut against Kent at Canterbury earlier this month, having made his first appearances for the Red Rose in the Twenty20 Cup earlier in the year.
His elevation to the first-team followed a world record innings in club cricket, when he scored 350 from 138 balls while playing for Nantwich.
Livingstone's extended deal – the length of which has not been revealed by Lancashire, though he said on Twitter he was looking forward to the next two years – came on the same day all-rounder Arron Lilley and West Cumbrian Jordan Clark also penned new contracts.
The player Tweeted: "Very pleased to have extended my contract at @LancsCCC a great club and great set of lads, looking forward to the next 2 years."
Lancashire cricket director and head coach Ashley Giles said: “Arron, Liam and Jordan very much represent the next generation for LCCC and I’m delighted that we have been able to secure their immediate futures.”
