IESTYN Humphries and Tom Hopkins both scored twice as Askam had the better of Oldham St Anne’s in National Conference Division Two.
Rory Marshall and Mary Tyson added to the try tally, with Adam Jackson finishing with four goals for the Villagers.
Tom Hopkins was Askam’s man-of-the-match as they claimed a valuable victory.
Askam led 16-4 at the break, only for the home side to hit back early in the second half with three converted tries to go 22-16 in front.
The visitors reasserted themselves on the game, scoring three converted tries to go into an unassailable 32-22 advantage.
Oldham scored a late converted try, but it wasn’t enough to stop Askam taking the points back to Cumbria.
