RAIDERS coach Paul Crarey is confident of having talisman Liam Harrison back for Sunday’s mouth-watering clash with Rochdale Hornets.

A leg injury meant Harrison sat out the agonising 21-18 defeat at Doncaster last Sunday – a result which ended Barrow’s unbeaten start to the League One season and saw them drop to seventh in the table.

Crarey and his troops are desperate to get back to the winning ways against the league leaders at Craven Park this Sunday (kick-off 3.30pm).

And the expected return of Harrison is a major boost, with Cresta saying: “Liam’s had a little bit of a leg injury but hopefully he will play.

“Getting Liam back is massive for us. He will give us a little bit of strike on the edge and a little bit of experience.”

The coach is also hopeful half-back Brad Marwood will be available after a spell on the sidelines due to a leg injury.

“It looks like Brad Marwood will be coming back into the squad,” said Crarey.

“Brad has been waiting patiently for his chance to get the green light off the physios to play. He was really good for us last year, he gives us that little bit of spark and he’ll be itching to go.”

One player who will not be involved is winger Shane Toal, who faces a mandatory week off due to concussion.

Added Crarey: “Other than that, we’ve got a couple of little niggles but we’ll see how they are at training and make a decision on them.”
