WINGER Dan Pilkington could be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks after suffering a suspected groin strain in Barrow AFC's 2-1 opening-day victory over Dover Athletic.
Pilkington set up the second of Barrow's and Andy Cook's second goals in the first period, before having to withdraw through injury after the break.
Following the National League game it was too soon to determine the extent of the injury, with a 'grade one groin strain' being one of the possibilities based on an initial assessment.
And so Pilkington will be re-assessed tomorrow - when it is hoped the injury has settled down - to discover the extent of any damage and whether the attacker will be sidelined for any period of time. But he is currently a big doubt for Tuesday's game at Grimsby Town.
