FIREFIGHTERS cut open a car to release an injured woman following a crash at an Ulverston garage.
Ulverston and Barrow fire crews, ambulance and police all attended The Shell Garage at Oubas Hill, Ulverston, this afternoon after a crash on the forecourt.
Ulverston fire service said a car had lost control on the forecourt and shunted another car into a fuel pump. A woman passenger was trapped in the second car and the fire service used their cutting equipment to remove a door to release her.
The ambulance service treated the woman and transported her to Furness General Hospital. It is understood she had a neck injury.
The garage was taped off to the public.
Ulverston & Furness Police had tweeted earlier saying "Incident @ Shell Garage Oubas Hill ULVERSTON. Fire Service Ambulance & Police @ scene. Road is clear but take care of distracted onlookers!"
