MOTORISTS are having to make a diversion through Millom due to the closure of a section of the A595.
The road is closed at the point where the A595 meets the A5093, meaning there is no immediate access to the Whicham Valley.
Signs on the roadside say the roadworks started on Monday and are scheduled to continue for five days.
