HUNDREDS of families and motor enthusiasts have flocked to enjoy one of Cumbria's biggest annual festivals today.
The Cumbria Steam Gathering has attracted huge tractors, monster trucks, daredevil performers, music and rustic engines to Cark Airfield.
Organisers of the show, which takes place over Saturday and Sunday, promised a mega packed schedule and they have so far delivered, with plenty of activities for all ages.
Nancy Milligan, club member at Lakeland Historic Car Club, said: "We enjoy the shows, the stalls and the company. The amount of cars that come is fantastic."
Jessica Wilson travelled from Ulverston with her two children to soak up the atmosphere and have a go on the fairground rides.
She said: "There's so much to do. You'll never see everything in one day as it's huge."
