FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car fire on a mountain pass in the Lake District today.
A road traffic collision took place at 2.46pm on the Kirkstone Pass, resulting in a fire to the vehicle involved.
The blaze was out on arrival so crews made the car safe and disconnected the battery.
One casualty from the car suffered burns to the hand and was given first aid by the crew.
