Firefighters were called out to rescue two people who had got marooned in flood water
TWO people were pulled from a car that had been marooned in floodwater near Grange over Sands.
Firefighters were called to Meathop Road, near Grange, at 4.31 this afternoon after they received reports of a car that had got stuck in flood water.
It is believed the driver attempted to drive through the flood before the car broke down.
Two passengers were rescued by firefighters who then handed them over to paramedics to be checked over but no serious injuries were sustained.
The car was then abandoned at the scene.
