Police tape
THE owner of a car is being sought after driving away from the scene of an accident.
Cumbria Police wish to speak to the owner of a silver Volkswagen car that collided with another vehicle on Long Lane by the entrance to Stainton Quarry.
The Volkswagen vehicle failed to stop at the scene of the incident and drove off in the direction of Dalton.
The Volkswagen will be missing the driver's wing mirror and may have damage to the driver's side body work.
This incident occurred at 6.45pm tonight.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Lindow at Dalton Police Station on 101.
