A HOTEL chef from Dalton has been jailed for two sex assaults and described by a judge as a "predator".
Vincent Mulama, 46, was convicted last month of two crimes committed against separate female adult victims.
Mulama, a hotel chef, denied the sex assaults, the first of which was carried out in 2012 and the second two years later. But he was found guilty by a jury at Carlisle Crown Court.
Both occurred in South Cumbria.
He was bailed while a background report was prepared about him, and sentenced today by Judge Paul Batty QC.
Mulama, of Chapel Street, Dalton, was sent to prison for 18 months. He must sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years.
The judge told him: "I regret to have to say that I form the clear view in the case, and having seen and heard you give evidence, that you were quite simply a sexual predator."
