A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with chest and facial injuries after being trampled by cows near Brampton.
The casualty, believed to be in her 50s, was trampled on a farm near Castle Carrock at 12.25pm on Sunday.
Her wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.
She was treated at the scene by North West Air Ambulance paramedics before being flown to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The Pride of Cumbria helicopter was used in the operation.
