TWO men who were arrested on suspicion of rape in Barrow have been re-bailed.
The men, aged 20 and 28, from Barrow, were arrested on Friday August 7 in connection with a serious sexual assault in Barrow.
The incident occurred earlier that day between 2am and 3.15am in the area around Cavendish Street.
The victim was a 33-year-old woman from Barrow.
Cavendish Street, part of Fenton Street and the Allison Street area were cordoned off for several hours while officers carried out inquiries at the time.
The two man answered bail at Barrow Police Station on Friday but were re-bailed until October 20.
