M&M Theatrical Productions visited Brisbane Park Infant School in Dalton to perform a modern interpretation of Peter Pan last Monday.
The production featured modern music, lighting effects, and the actors encouraged lots of audience interaction.
The pupils were left spellbound by the story of the little boy who refused to grow up, first told in the 1904 play by Scottish novelist and playwright JM Barrie.
Jackie Ennis, office manager at Brisbane Park, said: “It was interactive, fun and the children really enjoyed the modern songs that were included in the show and even sang along themselves.”
The show featured four actors playing a variety of roles, bringing the story of the Darling children’s adventures in Neverland to a new generation.
M&M Theatrical Productions is a Scottish touring stage company which performs a variety of different productions across the UK. The company specialises in community and educational theatre.
