CUMBRIA police are investigating an assault of an elderly man in Walney Island.
A 78-year-old male was assaulted at the entrance to West Shore Park in Walney, Barrow by a 73-year-old male.
the incident occurred on June 26 at around 5.30pm.
The assault involved the victim falling to the ground after being punched in the face several times causing injuries to the upper lip.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the assault and may be able to provide more information.
