A MEETING is to be held for those against the demolition of a popular social club.
Planning officials have received the application to knock down Cemetery Cottages in Ormsgill, Barrow.
The application has been lodged by David McGee, with the plans drawn up by Furness Buildings Plans, of Main Street, Baycliff.
The proposal, registered with Barrow Borough Council, is to build eight semi-detached homes on the 2,400sqm site in Schneider Road.
A decisions is expected to be made at a meeting next week.
Anyone who has signed the petition or wants to show their support is asked to go along to the club tomorrow night at 7.30pm.
