A drugs criminal who also behaved violently at his ex-partner's Carlisle home has been jailed for a year.
Andrew Hunter, 25, armed himself with an axe and burst through the door of Kirsty Miller's house while two children were present on 29th July.
Nobody was hurt but Hunter was aggressive to police before he was arrested.
He committed that offence while on bail for two drugs crimes earlier in the year.
At Carlisle Crown Court today (THURS), Hunter was sentenced having pleaded guilty to three offences.
He admitted possession of crack cocaine, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and affray.
Recorder John Corless jailed Hunter, of Manor Place, Carlisle, for 12 months and ordered him to pay £1,000 court costs.
