THE average salary in Cumbria has risen by 10 per cent in the last seven years, according to new figures.
The GMB union has analysed figures from the Office for National Statistics, which show the average salary in Cumbria was £27,199 in 2008. In 2015, the average has risen by £2,787 to £29,986.
In comparison, the average salary across the North West has risen by 8.2 per cent from £28,068 to £30,366.
