THE A590 at Meathop has reopened following a crash involving three vehicles.
The road was closed in both directions between the B5271 junction and the Meathop roundabout after a collision between a heavy goods vehicle, a Vauxhall Astra and a red Suzuki Jimny.
The crash was reported at 4.36pm and a trapped woman had to be cut free from the Suzuki Jimny by Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service.
A police spokesman said the woman, from the Grange area, sustained minor injuries.
The road was closed while recovery vehicles attended the scene of the crash and removed debris.
