The actress was best known for playing the character Elsie Tanner in the long-running Granada soap opera Coronation Street.
Pat Hartlebury was one those to meet the actress.
She was spotted on our picture by Dorothy Moody, of Marsh Street, Barrow.
Mrs Moody said: "She loved bingo and Coronation Street.
"She was also a member of the British Legion and carried the banner on numerous occasions."
The other picture of men in suits meeting the star includes, on the left, Alan Diamond.
He worked for Sammy Morgan, who owned the Roxy Bingo Club, in Market Street, Dalton, and the 99 Club, in Dalkeith Street, Barrow.
The star's arrival at the new club at the start of June in 1966 was a day later than planned due to filming commitments.
Pat Pheonix was born as Patricia Frederica Manfield in November 1923 and died in September 1986.
Her big break came in 1948 when she appeared in the film Cup-tie Honeymoon.
She was the subject of an episode of the TV biography show This is Your Life in 1972.
