WEST End stage show Legally Blonde takes to the stage at The Forum, in Barrow, for a five-night run later this month.

Barrow Operatic and Dramatic Society's latest sure-fire hit opens on Tuesday May 17, with the final night being dedicated to raising money for Breast Cancer UK.

Legally Blonde tells the story of Elle Woods (played by Rachel Craig) and her efforts to win back the love of Warner (Aydn Blake) assisted by her sorority sisters the Delta Nus.

To prove to Warner it's her he wants, Elle enrols in Harvard Law School where she meets Emmett (Dave Stockton) and Professor Callahan (Ben Merriman). The course of true love never runs smoothly and Paulette (Claire Williams) provides laughs, sympathy and a very nice range of hair advice.

Elle defies the odds in the end whilst defending Brooke Wyndham (Louise Marshall) in her first ever law case. Does this impress Warner and win his love?

Find out at The Forum later this month.

Each show gets under way at 7.30pm, with the exception of Saturday's fundraiser, which begins at 6.30pm.

BODS' Amber Clark says: "With such a pink show, the cast felt it was ideal to try and help raise some money for Breast Cancer Research. We are hosting the Think Pink night to raise money and awareness and we are encouraging everyone to wear something pink and show support for those who have been touched by this disease and to raise money and awareness to fund further research to find a cure.

"We are looking to local business and people to possibly donate raffle prizes and help spread the word to make it a fab night and raise loads of money with local people banding together."

The Saturday finalé also offers an opportunity for selfies with the cast, and a huge sing-along with the song "OMG You Guys!" at the end of the show.

All the money raised from the night's programme sales, sweepstakes, raffles and collection proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer Research.

Tickets are available from The Forum's box office.
