COMEDY is back at The Laundrama next week, with another impressive line-up of stand-ups.

Headlining the bill at the Bowness venue on Friday 19 is Archie Kelly - best remembered for his comic portrayal of Kenny "Dalglish" Senior in Phoenix Nights.

He won a place on the award-winning series for his performances on the North West alternative comedy scene as Jackie 'Mr Goodtime' Valencio, with his hilarious parodies and superb vocal impressions. He continues as a stand-up, and featured in the live Phoenix Nights arena shows in Manchester.

He has also appeared in popular TV shows including The Street and Car Share, however it is as a live performer that Kelly excels. His comedy style is cheeky, inoffensive and highly interactive, which audiences love, and his singing repertoire is vast, covering artists such as Micheal Buble, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie among others.

Marvyn Dickinson also makes an appearance. Star of BBC’s BAFTA-nominated DNN, and Nando’s New Comedian of the Year 2014 finalist, but he still has it tough - is it all his mum’s fault? Heartfelt life stories abound, from menopausal greetings at the RSPCA to tales of North Korean midwives.

Paul Imrie, an up-and-coming new comedy talent currently making a name for himself at comedy clubs and gigs, is championed by Jason Manford and touted as a name to watch in 2016.

Cumbrian comic John Lebbon also appears to compere, having performed the role at the opening night of the venue when it launched last year.

The show starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are available from the Old Laundry Theatre box office.
