A LAKELAND Hotel has extended the deadline for entries to its 'unusual' photography competition.

The Cedar Manor Hotel in Windermere is urging budding photographers to capture a different perspective of England's largest lake.

Owners Jonathan and Caroline Kaye have received many entries, but they say that only a few meet the 'unusual' request.

Mr Kaye said: “Both online and in magazines we see so many shots of the Langdale Pikes across the head of the lake, for example. We want to see something different, unusual, quirky.”

As a clue to what they are looking for, he added: "Perhaps get into or on to the water with your camera?"

The revised closing date is August 30, with a two-night stay at the luxury boutique hotel on offer for the winner.
