MURPHY is a eight-month-old Dorset Old Tyme Bull dog in need of a safe and secure permanent home.

This active black and white dog has a good nature and is eager to learn but needs owners who have big dog experience because he is a strong boy and still growing.

They also need to be prepared to put in time and effort to ongoing training because of his young age.

He needs good daily exercise and his carers at Scoobie Doo Dog Rescue feel he would be best re-homed with a family.

Murphy loves children but not other dogs so needs to be the only dog in the house.

Rescue owner Claire Golder said they are working with Murphy to get over his issues with other dogs, but it is an ongoing issue.

For further details or to arrange a visit to see Murphy at the Barrow-based rescue people can go to the website scoobydoo-dogrescue.webs.com or email scoobydoo-dogrescue@outlook.com

Murphy has been chipped and vaccinated and Clare will need to carry out home checks before he is allowed to leave the shelter.

He will have to be neutered as well.
