Askam carnival entries in Duke Street just over 100 years ago SUBMITTED askam-may-25
ASKAM and Ireleth Local History Group is hosting a display of village history as part of this Saturday's, June 4, Askam Carnival.
The displays can be seen in a marquee at Duddon Road Sports Club from 1pm to 4pm.
The group's next talk is from 7.30pm on Thursday, June 16, in the Duddon Road Methodist Church, Askam.
Walter Johnston will look at the Life and Work of James Garden, Master Builder who was responsible for several major construction projects in Askam.
