ALTHOUGH the charities are successfully rehoming many cats and kittens, there are more coming into the shelters all the time.

Animal Welfare has a litter of four eight-week-old ferral kittens which had been found in a shed and being fed by a kind stranger until he brought them into care.

They are now trying to catch the mother.

The four ferrals, two tabby and two black kittens, are very scared and need a good home where they have plenty of space and could perhaps be on a farm where they were well looked after or somewhere with a large garden for them to roam in.

They are in good health and ready to be rehomed now.

The charity's shelter in Rawlinson Street, Barrow, also has three kittens who have been made homeless through no fault of their own.

They are friendly apart from being a bit timid and are three lovely black kittens aged around eight weeks.

The semi long-haired little ones would make great pets for any cat lover given the time and patience to settle into new forever homes.

Finally two further small six-and-a-half week old kittens are also in need of homes after they were found with their mother Olivia who is also in the shelter.

There is one black and white kitten and one timid pure black moggy.

They are in good health despite not having the best start in life and can be rehomed separately.
