Cenedra Harris, a 29-year-old business and employment support team administrator from Barrow married her long time love Lewis McSkimmings, a 27-year-old joiner from Barrow in a stunning summer ceremony on Sunday 15 May 2016.

How they met: Cenedra was working with Lewis’s Mum and she met Lewis on a night out in Barrow.

Proposal: Lewis proposed after seven years together at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on 22 March 2014. Lewis had arranged for flowers, champagne and rose petals to be in the room on their return from a lovely meal. He got down on one knee and asked Cenedra to marry him.

Venue: The Grange Hotel, Grange over Sands.

Theme: Key to my heart.

Bride's Outfit: A Ronald Joyce 'Erin 69009' dress from Eternity in Barrow. Sophia Webster coco crystal shoes, Alan Hannah bridal jewellery and hair piece and a John Richard clutch bag. Bride's hair was done by Coco in Barrow and Make up by Beth Taylor.

Groomsmen: The best man was Daniel Barrow and ushers were Matthew McSkimmings, Pete Clark and Reece Langhorn. The bride's father, Stephen Harris, walked Cenedra down the aisle. The groomsmen wore Peter Posh suits hired from Mr Mister in Barrow.

Bridesmaids: Maid of honour was Michelle Hodgson, and bridesmaids were Victoria Clark and Victoria George-Rea. They wore Mark Lesley dresses from Eternity in Barrow and jewellery from Alan Hannah. Hair was done by Coco in Barrow and Make up by Beth Taylor.

Flowers: Supplied Alyson at Posh Flowers, Barrow. The bride had a hand tied bouquet of white peonies with a silver key attached. The bridesmaids arranged for Cenedra's late nanna’s pearls to be added onto the bouquet as a surprise and my parents gave me 3 pictures of my late nanna, grandad and other nanna to be tied onto my bouquet.

The bridesmaids had a hand tied bouquet of white peonies, vanilla sky roses and some double white freesias with a silver key attached.

The gents had a vanilla sky rose button hole, and the groom had a white rose button hole, all with silver keys attached.

Transport: Coaches were hired from Travellers Choice to transport guests to and from the wedding.

Reception: The Grange Hotel, Grange over Sands.

Table settings: Crystal table chandeliers with white rose domes on the top of them. The chandeliers were set on a mirror plate with mercury vase tea light holders and clear table crystals. For the evening reception the couple had lanterns with candles and petals on a mirror plate. All hired from Ambiance Venue Styling, Bowness. The table plan and place names were made by the bride myself and it was arranged and styled by Christine Dacre, Cake Events.

Favours: Scratch cards in hand made wallets, made by the bride, that read 'for richer…for poorer' and tied with a lock and key. There were also activity packs and gifts for the children.

Cake: A four tier wedding cake from Sugar Ruffles, Barrow. It featured petal ruffles and a grey tier to match the colour of the bridesmaids' dresses. Stripes in white and pale yellow to match the bridesmaids' flowers, a peony to match the bride’s bouquet and grey satin bow with a silver padlock and key to match the theme. The flavours of the cake were chocolate, vanilla, white chocolate, passion fruit and rich fruit cake.

First Dance: Birdy – Wings (Acoustic Version).

Entertainment: Classic Ensembles string quartet played as guests arrived and took their seats. They then accompanied the bride’s cousin, Emma Killip, who sang Etta James - At Last, as the bride walked down the aisle.

Magician and Mind Reader, Chris Hurst, entertained guests during the drinks reception, and set up garden games for the children. The disco was played by Pete Murphy for the evening reception, and Macaulay Murray sang for the guests.

The couple hired Photo booth from The Party Project, while a special tent was set up for the children with small tables and chairs, so that they could have their own table to sit at.

Honeymoon: The couple spent 10 nights in Mauritius at the Shandrani Hotel and Spa and then spent a further three nights in Dubai, booked with Travel The Globe.
