BRAD Brennan, Barrow Raiders’ bustling young prop, feels like he is in his second home since returning from his loan spell at Coventry.

And his Craven Park comeback has restored his love for the game.

“It’s great to be back,” said 23-year-old Brennan. “Now all I want to do is go on improving from game to game It’s like a second home being back among the lads. There are some still at the club who were there before and some new faces. I have settled in well.”

Brennan , was in danger of losing his appetite for rugby league as he was moved around on loan, but the short-term switch to Coventry changed all that.

“They have a great set-up down there and are a good bunch of players,” he said. “It went really well for me but I needed to go to get some game time – now I am happy with the way things are going and I am not in bad shape.”

Brennan made a powerful return to the side as a substitute in Barrow’s win over Hemel Stags and was in the side that scored an impressive victory over Keighley at the weekend.

With Raiders looking a good bet to finish the first half of the season in fifth, Brennan is expected to play a big part in their end-of-season promotion push.

“There are some good teams in League One so finishing fifth is not a bad place to be,” he said.

Brennan has had spells with York and Hunslet after starting with Warrington Academy, but there is no doubt that Craven Park is the place he wants to be and is happy coach Paul Crarey has given him the opportunity to rebuild his career.
