A CUMBRIAN rock band is calling on extreme sports fans to be a part of their history.

Ambitious Barrow pop punk act Greystone Avenue are on the verge of putting out their debut single - and with music ready, all they need now is the accompanying video.

The four-piece - Callum Gibbons, Thom Fisher, Arron Twinney and new addition Luke Sprout - are calling on skaters and BMXers to join them on the shoot next month to show off their skills.

The track, Fall For You, needs a suitable video in keeping with their fast and energetic pop punk sound.

Arron says: "It was the first song we wrote together after being away from music for a year or so, and it was pretty much the first thing that came to us once we decided on the sound we were going for."

Callum adds: "It's important to have a decent video to show our style and image, and people prefer to watch something rather than just listen to a track on Bandcamp or Soundcloud, as we've found from experience in our previous bands."

Greystone Avenue made their local debut last month, and impressed with their fast and melodic punk rock, in the vein of Knuckle Puck and Boston Manor.

Formed last autumn, they've been working on songs at The Canteen on Barrow Island, getting a full set together, and Fall For You will be the first recorded material to see the light of day.

The video shoot takes place at Urban Extreme Skate Park, in James Freel Close, Barrow, on Tuesday June 14, at 7pm.

There will be free beer and vaping is welcome.
