BARROW Raiders’ name will go into the hat for the first round of the 2016 iPro Sport Cup on Thursday.

The draw will be broadcast live from 6.45pm and fans can listen to it via the BBC iPlayer by visiting www.bbc.co.uk/bbcnewcastle.

Barrow, coached by Paul Crarey,  will join the other 13 Kingstone Press League One clubs and Kingstone Press Cider National Conference League teams Leigh Miners Rangers and Wath Brow Hornets in the bag for the ties which will be played over the weekend of February 20-21.

The draw will be made by former England, Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC and York City Knights player Chris Thorman, and the final will be held at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road, as part of the Summer Bash, on Saturday, May 28.

The first round draw has been split into two pools this year – Pool A (northern regions) and Pool B (midlands and southern regions).

Pool A: 1. Barrow Raiders; 2. Doncaster; 3. Hunslet Hawks; 4. Keighley Cougars; 5. Leigh Miners Rangers; 6. Newcastle Thunder; 7. North Wales Crusaders; 8. Rochdale Hornets; 9. Wath Brow Hornets; 10. York City Knights.

Pool B: 1. Coventry Bears; 2. Hemel Stags; 3. London Skolars; 4. Oxford; 5. South Wales Scorpions; 6. University of Gloucestershire All Golds.
