Singers, poets, storytelllers can show off talents

WORDS Alive has a new home, at The Queens Arms, in Biggar Village, on Walney.

Poets, singers and storytellers are invited to a monthly open floor event on Walney, offering the chance for the public to read their poems, tell a story, or sing a song at the event.

Anyone is welcome to read and perform work, with preference given to original work, or you can just sit back, listen and enjoy.

Open floor slots are booked on the door and will be for a maximum of five minutes.

The event will take place on the first Thursday of every month, starting tonight, with a 7.30pm start.
